Institute of Technology (MIT) is a constituent
institution of Manipal University specializing in technical education. It
contains 16 academic departments to offer the students with undergraduate and
postgraduate courses. MIT was established in 1957 in Manipal, Karnataka as the
first ever self-financed institutions of the country. Currently, it is offering
undergraduate and postgraduate programs in disciplines such as civil
engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical

engineering, industrial engineering, and many more. Many well-known persons
have visited the campus of this college several times in history. It was once

Gandhi visited in the 1970s. Spread over 83,000 square feet, this is a 4-Floor
